Started painting tonight. Went downstairs to wash off brushes, etc and came back up to find this "little sh*t" crawling across the wall I had just painted. I mean, still wet just painted. I was NOT happy with "little sh*t". This picture does not do him justice. Neither does his name b/c it really should be "big sh*t". If you have been to Charleston then you have seen our HUGE palmetto bugs. Gross. Wonder if I could talk Lyn into getting the house sprayed if I offer to pay for some of the cost. I cannot share my room with these things. They freak me out.

On a side note - I love love love the paint color that I picked out. It may have taken me a long time to decide but I am very happy with it. It is going to take longer than expected though to get it all done. Of course, if I had someone helping me it would go much faster. hint hint people...

To Dad:

Thank you, for everything you have done for me and for everything you have taught me. I am sure there have been plenty of times when you thought I wasn't listening. I was.

I have always been a Daddy's girl, but it's just been since college that we have become so close. Who would have thought hunting is what would bring us together?

In the last couple of years, you have had to assume the role of both mom and dad to me and I know it's been hard. Your support through it all is what has gotten me through.

Thank you for always being there. For giving me advice (whether I want to agree with it or not) but being patient with me so that I can make my own choices and learn from my mistakes.

You are the reason I get up every day and want to do better with my life. You alone have taught me to always be the best person that I can be and always give everything my best shot, thank you for that. I love you.

And, I think that you are too big for that horse. That's mine. :)

Yep. I am sure you have heard about this by now but I just can't help but get tickled when I see it on the news. Seriously? And I sure hope I am not offending anyone but come on, a fly? Is this what we should be concerned with right now? Take a look at the article on FITSNEWS.COM - you will at least get to see a bonus video of U2. :)

I found that fly article b/c a friend passed me the website just a few minutes ago, to share with me the latest on the Rusty DePass fiasco. See, Rusty's son is a good friend of mine from home. It's an unfortunate situation and one that just baffles me. I just can't fathom why people say (or think) the things they do. But anyhoo - I feel for his family right now b/c apparently there are all kinds of nasty things being said about him and even his family members are getting not so nice phone calls and emails. Does being nasty about it make it right? If you ask me, it doesn't. I do however think that there are consequences for your actions and what he said was just not cool. But mean facebook groups being created? I can think of better things that people could be doing with their time. Right? :)

I just saw a fun tag on Perfect Sentiments and just had to give it a try. Because it turned out the way it did - I just had to share!

So here was the idea - Open your first photo file and post the 10th picture from it.

I cannot believe this is the picture I ended up with! I was downtown with my friend Amy years ago and we met this guy at the bar. She totally made me get on the back for a picture when we left. Just LOOK at the crotch rocket and the helmet will you?! And of course we ran into him everywhere we went for months!
Good grief.

new glasses

Went to the eye doctor today. Thought for a little while that reading all these new blogs was making me go blind. I really did! But thankfully, I am not going blind. My astigmatism has changed by a "good bit" which sure was expensive, so thanks you stinky astigmatism. I gave them my old frames for the new lenses and it still cost me $176. Yuck. I am supposed to try out the new lenses and if my vision while at the computer doesn't improve, I will also have to buy a pair of work station glasses. So, I thought I would play around online and see what all is out there. Wow...

I am just too plain jane to wear those funky frames! However, if I do end up having to get the work station glasses maybe I will do something with a little color like below...
